Holiday Soap Production Training

Holiday ProgramCommunity training sites, Cameroon

LOHCEVUCOD ran holiday vocational training on the production of liquid soap, powdered detergent, and bar soap — equipping participants with practical skills for income generation.

During the holiday period, LOHCEVUCOD organized intensive vocational training focused on the production of everyday household products — liquid soap, powdered detergent, and bar soap. The program was designed to give participants practical, marketable skills they can use to generate income and support their families.

What participants learned

Training sessions were fully hands-on. Participants worked through each stage of production — from preparing raw materials and mixing formulas to drying, sieving, cutting, and packaging finished products.

  • Liquid soap production and formulation
  • Powdered detergent preparation and drying
  • Bar soap mixing, setting, and cutting
  • Basic hygiene, safety, and quality control practices

Why it matters

Economic empowerment is at the heart of LOHCEVUCOD's mission. By teaching soap and detergent production during school holidays, we reach youth and women who can turn these skills into small businesses — reducing dependency and building resilience in vulnerable communities.

This initiative aligns with our commitment to vocational training, women's empowerment, and sustainable livelihood development across Cameroon.
